Bečov nad Teplou
A historical small town of Bečov lies about 28 km south from Karlovy Vary. The complex of the castle and chateau belongs without doubt to the most visited places. The castle part was founded in the 14th century.
The most visited part of the chateau exposition is, probably, after the crown jewels, the second most important Czech jewellery sight – St. Maur´s Reliquary. It was found by chance under the floor of the castle chapel after 1980. Apart from the reliquary at the Bečov Chateau you will see beautiful chateau interiors of the 19th century and a wonderful chateau garden.
The Church of St. George and the town hall building also belong to the other important sights in Bečov.
